How do you currently cope when the sh*t hits the fan? Is it possible to prepare yourself in advance for some of the many life struggles and challenges that we may all face? How do you survive when you are in the middle of it? How do you make sure you don't lose your sense of self in the process? What about the aftermath? How can you support someone else going through it?
During this 6-day (5-night) retreat, Kanina Wolff and Sue Allen will explore all of the above with the intention of arming you with a variety of different tools and insights to assist you in becoming more resilient and resourceful when either you, a client or a loved one are facing adversity. We will look at how you can upgrade your existing coping mechanisms and strategies, how to deal with change, what it is to properly hold the space for yourself and others, what self-care really is, the importance of living a value-centred life, how to soothe a frazzled nervous system and also centre yourself regularly.
The goal is that you'll come away with valuable skills to help you – or those you are supporting in either a professional or personal capacity – cope when things go awry, with the added benefit of attaining greater confidence to surf the waves of the regular stresses and strains of daily life.
This retreat is ideal for counsellors, healers, practitioners, therapists and anyone on a personal self-development journey who might be in the thick of it right now or supporting others in their time of need.
The retreat is held in an old converted mill in Aumale, in the beautiful French countryside. The Mill is set in a secluded location of 30 acres complete with a lake and rowing boats, a river and five acres of dedicated woodland. The delicious organic meals are all vegetarian and freshly prepared on-site each day and the bedrooms are very comfortable with spectacular views. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to explore this stunning location during the regular breaks and to take full advantage of what this amazing place has to offer.
The basic cost is £975 which includes the accommodation, three full meals each day, unlimited tea, herbal tea and coffee, a daily fruit bowl, as well as the four days' tuition. There are additional options for travel by minibus/Eurotunnel from East Croydon, and single or en suite accommodation is also available (supplements apply – please request an information pack for further details).
To book, a non-refundable deposit of £100 is to be paid ASAP in order to secure your place. The final outstanding payment will be due by the 17th April 2024.
